I had a doctor appointment last week (Tuesday morning) and I was told to start eating carbs again. I have to eat at least 150 carbs a day... That seems like a ton when I'm used to NONE. Other than the carbs in vegetables, I didn't eat them. It's taking some getting used to. I'm slowly working my way up to that many carbs. In order to have a healthy pregnancy, I have to eat them. I am so paranoid. I'm afraid of gaining all of that weight back. I am definitely going to watch what I eat while I'm pregnant and hope that I don't.
Moving on...
I am a member of our school's PTO. It is called the Mighty Oracle Parent Squad (M.O.P.S.). This past week we held an event called Supper with Santa. The Kindergarten is in its own building, so we held the event at that school on Tuesday and our school (grades 1-5) on Thursday. Kristie, the president of M.O.P.S. and I work together as Math Interventionists, so we also spend a lot of time together doing M.O.P.S. activities. On Monday (as well as last weekend) we prepared for Tuesday. After school Tuesday, we piled our vehicles (Thankfully we both have SUV's!) and headed to the Kindergarten building. My WONDERFUL husband showed up and helped us set up. It is nice living 5 minutes from that school. We served food, offered pictures on Santa's lap, and had a cakewalk. We also have vendors. 31, Scentsy...
I forgot, we also had a 2 hour delay on Tuesday. We had a water pipe burst and leak in the MOPS room and down by the gym. The MOPS room was cleaned out and a wreck after that.
After school Wednesday, I went to CVS to get my birth control. I started that yesterday. I had to drive to a different town after work to have my blood drawn. THIS IS OUR IVF CYCLE! It is here!!!! I had to have day 3 blood work as well as some other tests run. They took 11 vials of blood. Here is my bruise this morning. It's looking much better than yesterday.
After getting blood drawn, I headed to the shoe store to get my money back. I ordered boots in October. I am on my feet all day, so I wanted a nice pair of Clark's. Of course, they don't have half sizes. After being on back order, my boots finally come in and they are the wrong size. This wasn't the first ordeal. I've made 3-4 trips to this shoe store before finally giving up. There's always next year.
After that, the kids and I went grocery shopping. By the time we got home, it was almost 7. I was smart and had chicken breast and Frank's Buffalo Chicken Sauce in the crock pot. We had shredded chicken sandwiches on wheat buns, salad, and cheese cubes. I actually ate a bun. It was WONDERFUL!
On Thursday I worked and then after work Kristie and I worked our behinds off preparing for Supper with Santa at our school. I think it was successful. We also served food, offered pictures on Santa's lap, had a cakewalk, and had vendors. All of the kids I talked to had fun. They LOVED the cakewalk. My wonderful husband helped again and made an emergency run to the store for us. We ran out of a few things...
We cleaned up what had to be cleaned up Thursday night and left the rest. Kristie and I spent a lot of time yesterday getting things put back up. We worked our behinds off, yet again.
I am heading a MOPS movie night next Friday. We haven't decided how often we want to have them, but we thought December was a good time. I talked Kristie into it, so she said I was in charge. We are going to watch Brave. Movie night will be a piece of cake compared to Supper with Santa.
Tomorrow I start antibiotics and I have a test in Indy this week. I'm having an SIS done. They have to make sure everything is clear and in working condition.
I have an upcoming ultrasound in 2-3 weeks. I will get to start my stims (shots) between Christmas and New Years. My egg retrieval should be within the first 10 days of the new year. Yeah!!!!!! I will keep you updated.
As tired as my body is, I couldn't sleep past 7. I have laundry going and I'm blogging.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Sam
