8 Weeks 4 Days

We had another ultrasound today.  Both babies are doing great!  Here is a picture of both of them.

Here is baby A measuring at 8 weeks 3 days (1.91 cm) with a heart-rate of 175 beats per minute.

Here is baby B measuring at 8 weeks 3 days (1.92 cm) with a heart-rate of 184 beats per minute.

We were able to get 3D pictures of baby A.  The tech said baby B wouldn't cooperate, so Dr. Bopp said it must be a boy!  Haha!

I can't get over how you can see the baby's eyes and nose!  Shawn said they look like Gummy Bears.

Dr. Bopp said I have a very low chance of miscarrying now.  What a relief!  Both twins are still here, so they should both be here to stay now!!!  We are so excited!!!!!!  We've waited almost 7 years for this!  Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Have a wonderful week!

8 Weeks Pregnant today!

My next ultrasound is Monday.  I can't wait.  Today, the babies should be around 16mm or .63 inch.  Nothing new here.  I'm just exhausted 24/7.  Do you think we will get snow and ice tonight?  I hope everyone is wrong.  I'm over winter.  I can't wait for spring.  Last year we went from winter to summer.  Let's hope we have a spring this year!

Have a great Friday!

And tmi, Gas & bloating, got it too!

I am definitely not complaining!  I am enjoying every second of it!  I've had a little more nausea the past couple of days, but it hasn't been too bad.  Crackers first thing in the morning help.  I feel so lucky!

I know I mentioned baby A is measuring 1 day behind and baby B is measuring 2 days behind.  This is perfectly normal.  Up to 5 days ahead or 5 days behind is normal.  The Dr. said their measurements were perfect.

I cannot wait for our next ultrasound.  It will be 3-D.  I am still on cloud 9 and we feel so fortunate to be pregnant.  Keep praying that both babies keep growing and developing and that this first trimester goes quickly!  Thank you for all of your prayers!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fetal Heart Rate

According to this, our babies are perfect!  :-)  I'm not biased or anything...  <3

Also...

I forgot to add this earlier, but Dr. Bopp said our babies were the size of a grain of rice.  I told him I'm 3 pounds heavier than I was pre-IVF.  I gained 7 during IVF, lost 5 within a week after the procedures, and now I've gained 1 back.  I told him all 3 pounds are in the belly.  He said that it was normal.  On the ultrasound, he said my ovaries are still a little enlarged and that I'm still retaining some fluids from the IVF process.  When Dr. Bopp asked if I had any symptoms, I told him just 2.  I feel sick when I'm hungry and I am VERY bloated.  Now I know why.  My ovaries aren't back to normal and I'm still retaining fluids.

6 Weeks 4 Days

I know I haven't been blogging lately.  I've been too nervous.  I wanted to wait until our ultrasound.  I knew I would feel better after it.

What a day!  I was so nervous that I hardly slept last night.  Deep down, I thought we would see twins.  At the same time, I was afraid they would measure small like last time.  Thank God, they are where they need to be this time.  We got there 20 minutes early.  They get me back to the ultrasound room on time, but the Dr. was 5-10 minutes late.  I was so nervous by that time that my hands were shaking.  As soon as the ultrasound tech had an image, I could see 2 sacs.  Dr. Bopp leaned in and asked her, "Both heartbeats?" and she said, "Yes".  He turned to us and said, "Congratulations, you're having twins!"  My response was "Yes, but how big are they?"  They measured them.  Baby A is measuring 6 weeks 3 days (6.2 mm).  We then got to hear his/her heartbeat.  It was AMAZING!  It was 122 beats per minute.   We then moved on to baby B which is measuring 6 weeks 2 days (5.6 mm).  Baby B's heart rate was 124 beats per minute.  We got to see their little hearts flicker on the screen.  Dr. Bopp said that everything was perfect!

Dr. Bopp did warn us that 1/3 of twin pregnancies end up with a vanishing twin.  He said that rate goes down once a pregnancy has been established (saw and heard a heartbeat).  I pray they both survive!  We go back in 2 weeks for a 3-D ultrasound.  We are so excited!!!

When Dr. Bopp first came in the room, he asked me about symptoms.  I told him that I haven't had many and that I'm rarely nauseous   Only when I'm hungry.  I was worried that it was a bad sign.  He told me I was just lucky!

Both of these babies are bigger than our first baby.  Last year, our baby was 5mm at 7 weeks 6 days.  Today was 9 days sooner and they are bigger!  What a relief!

The first image is both babies.  The second image is a measurement of baby B.  The third image is baby B's heartbeat.  The fourth image is a measurement of baby A.  The last image is Baby A's heartbeat.

We are so fortunate!  Thank you all for your prayers!  We appreciate them more than you will ever know!

Have a wonderful week!!!

5 Weeks and 3 Days

I'm excited to be 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant!  I'm also nervous.  I have symptoms, but I'm rarely nauseous, so that makes me nervous.  I cannot wait until our first ultrasound!  I pray it puts my mind at ease then.  Is it the 11th, yet?  I will be 6 weeks and 4 days on the 11th.  We should be able to see a heartbeat(s).

I want to sleep 24/7.  I'm not really craving anything this weekend.  I guess I got over my jalapeno craving.  What's next?

I read:

"Pregnancy cravings can change from week to week and from pregnancy to pregnancy."

at http://www.bodyandsoul.com.au/parenting+pregnancy/pregnancy/pregnancy+cravings+explained,8949

I only craved chicken taco salads and chocolate milk my last pregnancy.  I also miscarried in the first trimester, so I didn't get far enough along for it to change.

Have a great night!
