3 weeks

It has been 3 weeks since I've had any caffeine, if I'm counting correctly.  I started on a Monday.  I am proud of myself.  I am getting ready to drink some decaf coffee.  It isn't the same, but I like to pretend its the good stuff!  I decided a few weeks ago that if we are spending this much money to do IVF again, I was going to do everything in my power to make this a healthy pregnancy.  I'm on a diabetic diet and no caffeine.  I am not diabetic, but I am at an increased risk for developing gestational diabetes because I have PCOS.  Why not prevent it before it becomes an issue?  Is there anything else I should or should not do?

New Year

I have big hopes and dreams for the new year.  I hope to get pregnant, have a healthy pregnancy, and have a healthy baby.  I hope to see Zac and Abby to continually grow and mature.  I hope Shawn and I continue grow in love.

2012 started with us knowing we would likely miscarry, which I did January 10th.  I am so thankful that we have the opportunity to try again.  Zac and Abby are so excited about it.  They want a little brother AND a little sister.  I told them I will be happy with whatever God gives us.

2012 started with a miscarriage, but it also had many great events as well.

I have lost around 55 pounds since I miscarried.  Shawn has lost 65 pounds.  We're HOT now, I know!  ;-) Hey, it's my blog, I can make any claim I want to.  LOL!

Zac and Abby continue to grow and are healthy.  They are so smart and make me very proud!

A great friend and coworker invited us to her church and now we go almost every week.

We've done many fun things this year.  Gone to fairs, concerts, get-togethers.

We've had our ups and downs, but I am thankful for everything I have.

I pray 2013 has many new beginnings!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Snow Fun

We have had such an extremely busy day around here.  After sleeping in, the kids and I watched Pocahontas.  I did some laundry, then we watched Mulan.  Okay, I didn't watch carefully.  I did laundry and read a little while watching.  The kids have played on their laptops off and on all day.  They just came in from playing outside and are waiting on hot chocolate.  I spent yesterday cleaning house, so today I don't have much to do.  It's kind of boring.  I'm used to being busy every day.  Here are pictures from today.

Have a great afternoon!

I'm so excited...

and I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it...

I am so glad we did not get as much snow as predicted. I had a doctor appointment in Carmel for an ultrasound yesterday.  Some roads were good and some were bad.  29 was okay.  We thought we would cut across to 31 on 26.  Once you his Howard county on 26, the road we HORRIBLE.  31 heading south was horrible as well.  The north bound lanes were fine.  We made it safe and sound.

My ultrasound went well.  There were no cysts or fibroid's, so I get to start my IVF stimulating meds on Monday!!!

We took 32 across to 421/29 instead of 31 and 26 on the way home.  We should have gone that way down.  The roads were great.  Note to self, if it snows again during IVF, don't think 31 will be better, it won't be.

I felt like a kid at Christmas earlier.  Fed Ex showed up with my IVF meds!  Is it Monday, yet?  I am so excited and ready to start my stims.  I took some pictures of my meds to show you how many I will be taking, all in ten days.

Have a great day!!!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas here!  On Christmas Eve, we went to my husband's brother's house.  Shawn had to work until 7:00 p.m., so he met us there.  Shawn also had to work Christmas day.  Christmas morning we got up at 5:00 a.m. to open presents before Shawn went to work. We spoiled our children and bought them each their own laptop.  They were so excited.  They both have an email account now and enjoy emailing everyone they can!  I get 5-10 emails a day from them.  :-)  They make me so proud!

After opening presents, I made us breakfast. We had cinnamon French toast and bacon. Both are things Shawn and I haven’t had in over a year. It was like heaven. After Shawn left for work, the kids and I went back to sleep for an hour.

We got up, I made green bean casserole to bring to my grandparents, and the kids played on their laptops.

We had another great Christmas at my grandparents.

Since it was snowing on December 26, we went ahead and took down all of the Christmas decorations and cleaned house. The lights are still on the house and garage, but everything else is done. Here are some pictures from our Christmas’.

Take Care!
