3+ Months

Since I blogged last.

I miss blogging, but something had to go. LOL! I can't believe how much the babies have changed and how much time has passed.

At birth, Colt weighed 5 pounds 1 ounce and was 18.5 inches long. 3 days later he was 4 pounds 10 ounces. At 1 week old he was 4 pounds 12 ounces. At 2 weeks old, he was 5 pounds 2 ounces.  At 1 month old, Colt was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 19 inches long.  At 2 months old, Colt was 9 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches long. At 4 months he was 13 pounds 15 ounces and 23.25 inches long.

At birth, Cora was 5 pounds 7 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. 3 days later she was 4 pounds 14 ounces. At 1 week old she was 5 pounds even. At 2 weeks old, she was 5 pounds 9 ounces. At 1 month old, Cora was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches long.  At 2 months old, Cora was 9 pounds 2 ounces and 22 inches long. At 4 months, she was 12 pounds 11 ounces and 24 inches long.

Colt caught Cora in weight at 1 month old and they both weighed the same.  He was 1 inch shorter.  At 2 months he was 5 ounces more, but 2 inches shorter.  Colton had really short legs at the 2 month appointment.  They pediatrician was slightly concerned, but said we would see how he was in 2 more months.  At the 4 month appointment, the pediatrician asked if we pulled on him to stretch him out.  Colton grew 3.25 inches in 2 months.  Cora grew 2 inches in 2 months.  Colton also outweighed Cora by 1 pound 4 ounces.

The twins are almost 5 months old (in 4 days).  I can't get over how big they are getting.  Both babies started sleeping through the night around 4 months old.  Getting up at 5-6am is so much easier than getting up at 2-3am and again at 6am.  With our pediatrician's okay, we started both babies on solid foods.  Colton now tries to feed himself.  I help him dip the spoon in the bowl and let him stick it in his mouth.  Both babies seem to be teething.  They both chew their fingers, etc.  They both have cranky moments too, but Tylenol helps.

Both babies were rolling stomach to back before 2 months.  Colt especially.  The pediatrician said that was very early, so he lay him down on the table and Colt rolled over for him immediately and smiled at the pediatrician.  He said our babies just want to do everything early.  Coton was rolling back to stomach and sleeping on his side or tummy around 3 months.  Cora didn't start that until 4 months.  They both put their legs under themselves to try and move.  Colton has discovered how to push himself across the floor.  He puts his head down and butt up, then pushes.  Cora hasn't discovered this yet.  They aren't 5 months old yet!  I am going to have my hands full very soon!  With 2 of them on the early end of the development chart, its going to be crazy soon.

They both talk a lot.  And the like to "sing" with music when I'm singing.  Time is going so quickly, but I'm trying to soak up every second of it.  The babies are great sleepers.  I thank the friends that recommended the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child.  They were sleeping in their cribs at 8 weeks.  We always put them down awake.  Colton is definitely a "high maintenance" baby.  Cora is more laid back.  I'm thankful they both aren't a handful.  I can't imagine how that would be.

Zac and Abby are great!  Abby is on the A honor roll and Zac is on the AB honor roll.  Zac just turned 10 and Abby just turned 9.  All of my kids are smart and growing healthy.  We are blessed!  It's good to be me! <3
